After a career in social service beginning in 1969 in establishing eligibility for public benefits for the elderly and disabled, including Medi-Cal, Old Age Assistance, Assistance, Aid to the Disabled, Supplemental Security Benefits (SSI) Social Security and Medicare, Deirdre received her Juris Doctorate from John F. Kennedy University School of Law. Following her admission to the California State bar in 1984, she was employed by the Area Agency on Aging as the attorney at the Council on Aging. Ten years later she established her own firm which is limited to estate financial and health care planning, trusts, estate administration and elder law. The firm staff includes attorneys, and utilizes a Certified Geriatric Care Manager, paralegal and clerical staff.
